1960-1967; served on Suffolk County (N.Y.) Board of Supervisors, 1968-1969;
elected to four terms as Supervisor, Town of Huntington, N.Y., 1968-1974;
chairman, Huntington Urban Renewal Agency and president, Freeholders and
Commonalty of the Town of Huntington, 1968-1974; elected as a Democrat to the
Ninety-fourth and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1975-January 3,
1981); unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the Ninety-seventh Congress in
1980; governmental and legislative consultant; died on March 4, 1993, in Falls
Church, Va.
