                        D'Amours D'AMOURS, Norman Edward, a Representative from New Hampshire; born in Holyoke, Hampden County, Mass., October 14, 1937; attended parochial school in Holyoke, Mass., and high school in Worcester, Mass.; B.A., Assumption College, 1960; LL.B., Boston University Law School, 1963; served in the United States Army Reserves, 1964-1967; admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 1963 and to the New Hampshire bar in 1964; New Hampshire Assistant Attorney General, 1966-1969; Manchester City Prosecutor, 1970-1972; delegate to New Hampshire State Democratic conventions, 1970, 1972; delegate to Democratic National Convention, 1972; elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-fourth and to the four succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1975-January 3, 1985); was not a candidate for reelection in 1984 to the Ninety-ninth Congress but was an unsuccessful candidate for election to the United States Senate; returned to the practice of law in Washington, D.C.; unsuccessful candidate in 1992 for nomination for governor of New Hampshire; chairman, National Credit Union Administration, 1993-2000; is a resident of Manchester, N.H.
