                        Stallings STALLINGS, Richard Howard, a Representative from Idaho; born in Ogden, Utah, October 7, 1940; attended public schools in Ogden; mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to New Zealand, 1960-1962; B.S., Weber State College, 1965; M.S., Utah State University, 1968; graduate studies, Colorado College, 1968; taught history at Ricks College, 1969-1984; elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-ninth and to the three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1985-January 3, 1993); was not a candidate for renomination in 1992 to the One Hundred Third Congress but was an unsuccessful candidate for the United States Senate; unsuccessful candidate for election to the One Hundred Sixth Congress in 1998; unsuccessful candidate for election to the One Hundred Fourteenth Congress in 2014.
