STUBBLEFIELD, Frank Albert, a Representative from Kentucky; born in Murray, Calloway County,
Ky., April 5, 1907; attended the public schools; student at University of
Arizona in 1927; B.S., University of Kentucky College of Commerce, 1932;
engaged in the retail drug business in Murray, Ky., in 1933; member of city
council, Murray, Ky., 1939-1942; served as a lieutenant in the United States
Navy from 1944 until September 1945; member of the Kentucky Railroad
Commission, 1951-1955; reelected to four-year term in 1955, but resigned
December 31, 1958, to run for Congress; elected as a Democrat to the
Eighty-sixth and to the seven succeeding Congresses and served from January 3,
1959, until his resignation December 31, 1974; unsuccessful candidate for
renomination in 1974 to the Ninety-fourth Congress; resided in Murray, Ky.,
where he died October 14, 1977; interment in Murray City Cemetery.
