Vehicle damage; disclosure to vehicle title.
Requires the Department of Motor Vehicles to attach a disclosure to the title of any vehicle that is reported to the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) noting that such vehicle has been reported to NMVTIS and how to obtain more information about the history of the vehicle.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-1605.1 as follows:
� 46.2-1605.1. Disclosure; title.
A. The Department shall attach to the title of any vehicle that is reported to the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System, as required pursuant to 49 U.S.C. � 30504, in addition to any brands issued on such title as required pursuant to any other provision of law, a disclosure on Department letterhead that reads as follows:
CAUTION: According to a vehicle history report issued by the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS), this vehicle has been reported as a total loss or carries a designation that may materially affect the value, safety, or condition of the vehicle. Because of its condition, the manufacturers warranty or service contract on this vehicle may be affected. Ask your dealer to see a copy of the NMVTIS vehicle history report. You may also independently obtain the report by checking NMVTIS online at www.vehiclehistory.gov.
B. No person shall remove any disclosure issued pursuant to this section.
