People with developmental disabilities; Sec. of PSHS, et al., to create and implement policies.
Requires the Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security to create and implement policies that recognize and make accommodations for people encountering the criminal justice system with developmental disabilities. The bill also requires the Office of the Executive Secretary to create and implement policies that recognize and make accommodations for people with developmental disabilities, for use by judges in determining case outcomes.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. � 1. The Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security shall, for all agencies for which he is responsible, create and implement policies that recognize and make accommodations for people encountering the criminal justice system with developmental disabilities, as defined in the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000 (P.L. 106-402), including intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.
� 2. The Office of the Executive Secretary shall, for use by judges in determining case outcomes, create and implement policies that recognize and make accommodations for people with developmental disabilities, as defined in the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000 (P.L. 106-402), including intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.
