Directs the Attorney General to establish ongoing communication with the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services and the Department of Social Services to ensure that adults 60 years of age or older or 18 years of age or older and incapacitated have access to information regarding the prevention of potential patterns of financial exploitation.

    Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

    1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Chapter 44 of Title 59.1 a section numbered 59.1-518.01 as follows:

    59.1-518.01. Communication with state agencies.

    The Attorney General shall establish ongoing communication with the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services �[ and the Department of Social Services ] to ensure that adults, as defined in � 63.2-1603, have access to information regarding the prevention of potential patterns of financial exploitation. The Attorney General shall coordinate with the Commissioner of the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services [ and the Commissioner of Social Services ] to determine an effective and efficient manner of communicating such information, while also ensuring that confidential or privileged information is not exchanged.
