Solar farms; annual report of acreage, report.

Directs the Virginia Solar Energy Center to compile an annual report that lists (i) the total acreage of solar farm or utility-scale solar facility development projects completed in the prior calendar year and (ii) the total acreage of qualified donations of less-than-fee interests accepted by any public or private conservation agency, as reported by the Department of Conservation and Recreation pursuant to existing law. The Center is required to submit the report by December 15 of each year to the Chairmen of the House Committee on Appropriations, House Committee on Finance, and Senate Committee on Finance.

    Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
    
 
 

    1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section 
 numbered 45.1-391.1 as follows:
    
 
 

    � 45.1-391.1. Solar farms; 
 total acreage; report.
    
 
 

    The Virginia Solar 
 Energy Center (the Center) shall 
 compile an annual report that lists (i) 
 the total acreage of solar farm or utility-scale solar facility development 
 projects completed during 
 the respective calendar year 
 throughout the Commonwealth and (ii) the total 
 acreage of qualified donations of less-than-fee interests accepted by any 
 public or private conservation agency during the 
 respective calendar year, as reported by the 
 Department of Conservation and Recreation pursuant to the provisions of subsection 
 C of � 58.1-512. The 
 Center shall submit the report by December 15 of 
 each year to the Chairmen of the House Committee on Appropriations, House 
 Committee on Finance, and Senate Committee on Finance.
