People with developmental disabilities; Sec. of PSHS, et al., to create and implement policies.
Requires the Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security to create and implement policies that recognize and make accommodations for people encountering the criminal justice system with developmental disabilities. The bill also requires the Office of the Executive Secretary to create and implement policies that recognize and make accommodations for people with developmental disabilities, for use by judges in determining case outcomes.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. � 1. That the Department of Corrections (the Department) shall create a workgroup composed of disability advocates and other stakeholders to review current Department guidelines and develop recommendations that recognize and make accommodations for people with developmental disabilities, as defined in the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000 (P.L. 106-402), including intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
